APPLICATION
It can be used to seal porous models and tooling surfaces while providing a semi-permanent release surface free from contamination that best conforms to complex surfaces. Guarniflon® recommends to test the material prior to be used in production.
CHARACTERISTICS
Major characteristics are the following:
- Permanent release surface, reducing the need for cleaning and the application of release agents;
- Elongation for covering complex tools and models ready for moulding;
- Improvement of the surface quality of tooling for better quality finished parts and reduced rework costs.
It is recommended to remove the film backing and then applying the adhesive surface to the tooling using an Airsweep or tamping block. Vacuum bagging can be used to remove any residual air bubbles. Vacuum firing will give the best results.
